DivData Upgrade Project
A new version of DivData will be launched in Winter Quarter 2026.
As mentioned in TuesdayNewsday on May 20, 2025, the Academic Personnel Office and Information Technology Services Software Engineering Team are currently collaborating on a multi-year project to move DivData to a campus standard code base.
The more modern application will improve responsiveness and accessibility while ensuring supportability and continued data security compliance. DivData is a joint project between the Academic Personnel Office and Information Technology Services’ Software Engineering Team. The project began in 2023 under the executive sponsorship of Vice Provost for Academic Affairs Herbie Lee, and is guided by a [DivData Project Advisory Group|link] providing a range of perspectives representing faculty, departmental and divisional staff, chairs, academic administrators and senate committees.
To help prepare the campus for this change, we are developing plans for communications, testing, training and migration.
Those undergoing 2025-26 Call-related reviews in academic year 2025-26 will build and submit their files in the current version of DivData, with decisions issued in the upgraded version.
In Summer and Fall 2025, campus stakeholders will test the new system, and a transition plan and training materials will be developed. The updated DivData application will launch in Winter quarter 2026.
We expect the migration cutover will last two to three days while we transfer existing review files, biobibliographic data, and administrative records. In preparation for the transition, we will schedule times with the divisions to introduce the changes.
