Re: 2025-26 Academic Salary Scales Issuance
Dear Colleagues:
We are issuing updated policy-covered academic salary scales per the 2025-26 salary program for academic appointees. All policy-covered academic salary scales and ranges are subject to a 3.2% general range adjustment (subject to rounding and smoothing where applicable). The changes will be effective in either July or October, 2025, as follows:
July 1, 2025 [Effective July 6, 2025 for biweekly paid appointees]
Policy-covered Non-faculty Academic Appointees: 3.2% general range adjustment increase. Includes Continuing Educators, Academic Coordinator Series, Non-represented Professional Research Series, Non-represented Librarian Series, Non-represented Project Scientist Series, and the Non-represented Specialist Series.
Policy-covered Trainee Titles: increase by the 3.2% general range adjustment or to the current California Senate Bill 525 (SB 525) minimum wage, whichever is greater.
Department Chairs and College Provosts: Stipend scales will be increased by the 3.2% general range adjustment.
October 1, 2025 [October 12, 2025, for biweekly paid appointees]
Senate faculty, and other titles paid on the ladder-rank scales: 3.2% general range adjustment subject to rounding and modest smoothing.
Salary scales for represented academic titles are set by the terms of their Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA), and were issued separately this year.
The revised scales are now published in our campus Academic Salary Scales. Please share this information with the appropriate individuals in your unit(s).
If you have any questions, you may direct them to the Academic Personnel Office at apo@ucsc.edu.
Sincerely,
Grace McClintock
