Re: Delegation of Authority—Graduate Student Researchers

Dear Colleagues:

Effective immediately, I delegate to your positions the authority to appoint Graduate Student Researchers within your divisions. Such positions must report directly to you or to a faculty administrator within your division.

Academic Personnel/ HR support for these academic appointees will be provided according to the attached document. Any substantial increase in the numbers or workload of supporting GSR appointees in your divisions may necessitate further conversations with the disciplinary divisions providing staff support.

This authority may not be further redelegated.
