A. Graduate Student Researcher [TC: 3276]
A Graduate Student Researcher is a registered graduate student appointed to assist in performing research related to the student’s degree program in an academic department or research unit under the direction of a faculty member or authorized Principal Investigator. The student must be in good academic standing and making satisfactory and continuous progress toward the degree. (Please refer to APM 112 for more information).
The Graduate Student Assistant-Researcher title is not in use on the Santa Cruz Campus.
B. Out of State Teaching Assistant [TC: 2312]
An out of state Teaching Assistant is a registered graduate student, chosen for excellent scholarship and for promise as a teacher, serving an apprenticeship under the active tutelage and supervision of a regular faculty member and who is performing their duties outside the state of California (e.g., a TA working at UCDC).
